Shangrila Motors Pvt. Ltd, the sole authorised distributors for Peugeot vehicles in Nepal, has launched the all-new Peugeot 2008 in Nepal at a price between Rs 1.15 crore- Rs 1.25 crore. The first generation of the Peugeot 2008 received a lot of success in the Nepalese market which is why Peugeot has gone ahead and unveiled the second generation Peugeot 2008 SUV.
The all-new Peugeot 2008 is more stylistically assertive. The new generation model features a more muscular design that follows the footsteps of the current 208, as shown by the LED claw effect on the headlamps and tail lights. The balanced lines and overall proportions are those of an SUV, with a recessed windshield that makes the bonnet more horizontal, creating a strong body. It also gets a full LED headlight with LED side indicator and auto beam assist, gloss black longitudinal roof bars, lower front bumper in silver, lower door protection with silver inserts, 17" diamond cut alloy wheels, and dual-tone body colour.
On the inside, it adopts the new generation of immersive Peugeot i-Cockpit 3D, with equipment and driving aids designed by the best know-how Peugeot has to offer. It gets a compact steering wheel, a 10.0-inch colour touchscreen and a 3.5-inch instrumentation colour display. Comfort and convenience features include a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging plate, ventilated seats, cruise control with speed limiter, and automatic mono zone air conditioning with pollen and carbon activated filters, tinted window and heated rear window, electrically adjustable seats, etc.
In terms of power, the all-new Peugeot 2008 is powered by a 1.2-litre PureTech turbocharged petrol engine that makes 131 hp at 5500 rpm and delivers 230 Nm at 1750 rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox. Peugeot claims a top speed of 198 km/h and the vehicle can reach from 0-100 km/h under 9.1 seconds.Dimensions wise, the new Peugeot 2008 measures 4300mm in length, 1770mm in width, 1550 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2605mm. The minimum turning diameter of the new Peugeot 2008 is 10.4m. Bootspace stands at 405 litres and can be extended to 1467 litres. Similarly, the fuel tank capacity of the vehicle is 44 litres.
Safety features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist (BA), traction control system, Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP) grip control system with ASR, rear parking aid with a camera, hill assist function, and blind-spot indicator, etc.For more information, contact Peugeot Nepal at 01-4101559 or visit the company's Facebook page
